Seven Stories Up by Laurel Snyder was about a girl named Annie who meets her grandma for the first time, and her grandma seems mad. When Annie goes to bed that night she puts on her grandma's old sleeping mask, and when she wakes up...she's in 1937. She's in a girl named Mary's room, but Mary likes to be called Molly. Annie realizes Molly is her grandma when her grandma was her age. Molly is all alone, locked in her room all the time because she has asthma, but Annie tries to get her out. Annie and Molly go on lots of adventures including going to a fair, a store, and a photo booth all so Molly can have fun and be free, but how will Annie get back home?
Opinion:
I really liked the book, Seven Stories Up by Laurel Snyder. It had everything it needed from the characters to the setting; this book just really came together. This book also taught me about the 1930's, like how there was not much medicine. This book made me realize how lucky we are to have what we have. You can vividly see the characters and their emotions by reading the text. That is why I give this passage four stars.
