LitPick Review
Thirteen year old Charis Parks doesn’t suspect a thing. She thinks Mr. P is a perfectly normal teacher. She thinks that she leads a perfectly normal life. She thinks that SHE is perfectly normal. But while at school, she gets greatly amused with the myth about Pandora’s Jar, and learns a lot about it. So amused with it she didn’t even notice the strange, angel keychain fly into her backpack. When Charis is in a deep sleep, Athena tells her the little keychain in her backpack is Nike, goddess of victory, and she is here to help her. Athena explains to her that the myth of Pandora’s Jar is real, and the jar has been stolen by Hades, god of the underworld, and Charis would have to help get it back. So Athena, Nike and Hermes all help Charis with her dangerous mission to conquer the evil and save the gods!
Opinion:
This book was very well written! I loved how the book altered characters and changed the perspective of the story so many times! Sometimes I found myself deep in thoughts about the book. I loved all the “sitting on the edge of your chair” suspense and all the scary sacrifices they (the characters) made for each other. I would say this story is a mythological adventure, but also partially a love story! So, what i’m trying to say is this is a wonderful story, and it is well worth reading!
