Grow Up Messy! is about a little girl named Misry whom everyone has nicknamed Messy, as she usually makes a mess out of things. Misry lives in India where her father is a soldier. A few things that cause messes are that she tries to prove she is as good as the older kids, swim on her own, fight on the bus, and defend herself by spitting! With the help of her mom, dad, aunt, and principal, she learns how to grow up – but not messy!

Opinion:

This book had me giggling at points because of the silly things that happened to Misry. I appreciated how every time she was naughty, she promised not to do it again and learned her lesson. A few things I didn't like were how Misry used the Lord's name in vain, seemed very naughty in general, picked fights, and was sometimes mean on purpose. This book was a fun read for me, and I think a young audience would enjoy it as well.
