In the book Brother XII's Treasure by Amanda Spottiswoode, seven children are pulled out of a boarding school in England and the Netherlands. The year is 1936 and the children (Sophie, Ian, Molly, Mark, Leticia, Posy, and Harriet) are about to have a wild adventure with their Uncle Gunn. He takes them on a cruise to travel through British Columbia. They soon find out about a villain named Brother XII and his treasure, which is on an island nearby. The result is a crazy and memorable tale.

Opinion:

Brother XII's Treasure was a fantastic book. Because of the action - like catching a villain and hunting down treasure, this was one of the best action and adventure books I've ever read.  The characters' emotions were easy to relate to, and I felt like I knew each of them. I recommend this book to readers who like interesting situations and lots of action.
