The book “Halfway Home Drawing My Way Through Japan” is an autobiographical book about a girl named Christine who is an Asian-American that grew up in the United States. Suddenly her parents have the idea that she should go visit her grandparents in Japan and learn more about their culture versus the American culture. After she freaks out about being in a place she has only seen once before, strange thoughts of being abducted by every stranger she sees creeps into her mind. Along with crepes that contain tuna salad and lettuce, Christine still survives through all the adversity. I would strongly recommend this title to anyone who is looking for a book containing information on Japanese culture mixed in with comedy and funny vending machines that have all items from eggs to underwear.
