I’m Ok is a book about a boy called Ok and the struggle of living in America with his mother. Ok and his mom go through a moving process to a smaller home. Ok’s has a braiding business at school, and he goes through the struggle of hating his soon-to-be new dad. Ok runs away to his father’s dream house and tries to live there for a couple of days, and his friends, Mickey and Asa go looking for him.

The City of Sand is about a teenage boy named Tianyi. He lives the life of a grave robber who uses Feng Shui skills to locate the buried treasures of deceased ancient royalty. He learned the art from his deceased grandfather, who turned to grave robbing while addicted to opium. His grandfather left behind half of a book that basically held all the tricks of the trade. Some of these include how to use the astronomical signs to guide to the correct tomb, how to stay safe while pillaging through a tomb, the proper gear to have and what to say before digging through the coffin.

The book The Explorers is about a group of friends that decides to go halfway across the world to save a friend named Sebastian. In the book, the group of kids meet a famous explorer named Catherine who promised to help them find Sebastian. The group flies over to Korea to find Sebastian and the only thing left for the group now is to find Evie’s grandfather who is somewhere he could be in danger. They run into small problems they have to solve like taking a shark out of a backyard pool and finding a way to take the shark to the aquarium.

Rad Girls Can touches on 91 stories, some are short, a paragraph or two, and some are long, spanning two to three pages. The book also has stories about different ethnic groups, races, religions, and more! Some of the stories are about women many of us have heard of, like Anne Frank, Lorde, Ruby Bridges, Helen Keller, and others.

Fresh Ink: An Anthology is an anthology of short stories put together by an amazing group of authors! The stories all focus on young adults and are geared toward coming-of-age type situations for the main characters. The stories range from discovering one's true potential to being truly comfortable in the skin you are in. For the most part, the stories are realistic fiction, however, at least two fall into the category of fantasy, and one is actually in graphic novel format.
