Maeve, princess of Connacht, is headstrong, determined, quick-witted, and courageous. When her father begins to invite possible husbands to visit their kingdom, Maeve will do anything to get away. With her sharp tongue, she protects her pride and waits for true love. But will she ever find it?

Opinion:

In another captivating novel, Friesner makes you understand what having love forced upon you feels like. While a great story, younger readers may find the courtship and romance awkward. I loved it for the quick and witty humor, and cannot wait for her next book.
