Changing the Little Things: A Novel
Changing the Little Things
J. L. Manning
This is the story of a fictional author who has a really different idea for a new book. Now, this author is pretty well off, but he has an idea of how to change things in his life. He feels that his life is good, so he writes a book about this idea. This fictional author goes online to a blog site where people complain about their own lives. The author invites eleven people to a private chat room to introduce his idea to them. They meet three nights a week to talk about the topics that are of interest to them: family, work, and friends. These are the topics that the bloggers would like to have an effect on. Will their active blogging on these topics have a profound effect upon their lives? Changing the Little Things, which is written primarily in blog format, contains twelve unfinished stories that are relevant to most people today. In these stories, the author points out how to find the little things in life and how to affect them to cause great change.

Dragonfaerie
Dragonfaerie
Christopher A Cooke
Everyone has a little voice inside them that tells them to shirk responsibility, to create a scapegoat whenever something does not go to plan. Imagine if that voice was forced to learn empathy for the rest of creation. Will Englewood, a fifteen year old Iowa boy, saw his infant brother kidnapped by something that should not exist. After ten years of therapy and pills, he still feels pain and guilt. Only one thing will bring him out of his self-serving emotional exile: being taken from the world by the same creature that took his brother. Abducted to a world filled with exotic creatures, powerful magicians and treacherous landscapes, Will's only chance to escape to the world he knows lies in a mystical being known as the Dragonfaerie. Each new path leads him deeper into danger, and every person seems to have an agenda. With the help of Anlia, a mysterious girl with a troubled past, and McBride, a wise-cracking magician's apprentice, Will sets off to seek the creature that holds the only key to his return home. Along the way, he learns not merely that there are more pressing matters than his own misery, but that he must decide, finally, for what he is willing to live or die. Before his journey is over, Will is forced to decide whether to go home and live out his days as an average Midwestern teenager, or stay behind and help the world he is in -- before it tears itself apart.

Jim Calafiore, J. P. Carlson
When 14-year-old Zeke Calhoun goes to live at his Uncle Jesse's broken-down ranch in Texas, he discovers that he has a natural way with horses and loves to ride. While Zeke saves the stranger and sets out to answer these questions, he finds something much more interesting--a bridle in the dinosaur's mouth. From that moment on he knows he is destined to ride the T-Rex. Dart and the Squirrels
Dart and the Squirrels
Michelle Izmaylov, Nicole Izmaylov
Name’s Dart—short for d’Artagnan. You may not think much of a grizzled old German Shepherd with a torn ear and a nasty bite, but, trust me, when you’ve spent your whole life dogging it out in the pound, you learn appearances can be deceiving. I mean, just look at that squirrel. Nutty, crazy, you name it. If that sly squirrel isn’t chewing up Banshee’s homework and blaming me, she’s stealing my food, following me around the house, stealing my food, biting my tail, and, did I mention the worst part, stealing my food! This is outrageous! A proud purebred—okay, semi-purebred—German Shepherd such as myself can’t stand for this! I’ll sit. Hey, since you’re here, why don’t you listen up to my complaints? All my doggy pals like them—and their reviews are a little “ruff.”

Raziel (The Fallen)
The Fallen: Raziel
Kristina Douglas
Kristina Douglas’s sexy new series introduces a realm of fallen angels and ruthless demons, where an eternal rebellion is brewing . . . and one unsuspecting woman can change the fate of the Fallen forever. She was just an ordinary mortal . . . “You’re dead” is so not what Allie Watson wants to hear. Unfortunately, it explains a lot. Like the dark, angelically handsome man who ferried her to this strange, hidden land. The last thing she remembers is stepping off a curb in front of a crosstown bus. Now she’s surrounded by gorgeous fallen angels with an unsettling taste for blood—and they really don’t want her around. Not exactly how she pictured heaven. . . . until death catapulted her into a seductive world she never imagined. Raziel is unsure why he rescued Allie from hellfire against Uriel’s orders, but she stirs in him a longing he hasn't felt in centuries. Now the Fallen are bracing for the divine wrath brought by his disobedience, and they blame Allie for the ferocious Nephilim clawing at the kingdom’s shrouded gates. Facing impossible odds at every turn, the two must work together to survive. Raziel will do anything to defend his spirited lover against the forces of darkness—because Allie may be the Fallen’s only salvation.
