Weeny Meeny’s Halloween is a story about a witch that goes on an adventure of cleaning her town on her birthday. Weeny Meeny was finally old enough to go trick-or-treating and fly on her broomstick alone. As Halloween was approaching, she felt concerned about the garbage and litter on the streets of Witchburg. After casting a spell, Weeny Meeny and her pets went on an adventure that would change the town for the better. This story teaches about the power of teamwork and taking care of the environment.

Opinion:

I highly recommend this book to set the Halloween mood! The story was clever and made me feel like I was on an adventure as I was reading. The illustrations are beautifully painted with fall colors. The story includes mentions of Halloween favorites: witches, broomsticks, a black cat, and trick-or-treating. The tone of the story made me feel festive, cozy, and excited for Halloween. I was surprised and excited to learn that the story included a message about keeping our environment clean. I think this book is a great tool to teach about ways to keep the earth clean and the importance of helping others.
