Violett Valentine is about a young girl who goes on a trip with her grandma to Greece. During this trip she experiences some troubling events. With the help of strangers who quickly become her friends, she works to solve her problems. Violett and her grandma see many sights which inspire them to sew for boys and girls. Violette is a daydreamer who loves new experiences in all the places she visits.

Opinion:

Violette Valentine was a fun book. I liked the neat pictures and how they went so well with the theme of the book. For example one of the dresses Violette wears is really a globe! It also fits in so well with what her and her grandma do in their sewing, sketching, and traveling. I also really liked that the book wasn't only about the place she visited (all educational) but also a bit of adventure in finding her sloth and dealing with mean kids. I am 9 years old and would recommend this book to many of my friends!
