In Spy High Mission Two: Chaos Rising, by A. J. Butcher, the members of the Bond Team, a group made up of six talented teenage secret agents who attend Deveraux Academy, are determined to win the Sherlock Shield. The Sherlock Shield is a prestigious award that would place them in Deveraux Academy's Hall of Fame. To win this award they will have to face the Solo Team, their archrivals, in a tough competition. Outside of Deveraux Academy, however, there are more important issues at hand. A terrorist organization, called CHAOS, has created a super- virus named Nemesis, that can not only destroy computer data, but can potentially kill a human being that is in a computer controlled environment. The Bond Team becomes involved in destroying Nemesis when one of its members, Jake, finds out that his family almost dies from a catastrophe caused by the virus. Cally, another Bond Team member, is held in a coma by Nemesis. In order to save her, the Bond Team must travel into cyberspace and come face to face with Nemesis.

Opinion:

I enjoyed this book, but I think that sections of it were stretched out, and that I would have enjoyed the story better if some of the parts were shortened. There were still sections of the book, though, that I found very exciting and intriguing. I enjoyed A. J. Butcher's style of writing and creative characters. Even though I did not find this book as exciting as the first book in the series, I still believe that anyone who enjoyed the first book should enjoy this one as well.
