Immortal Warriors is story about Ridyani, a city known for its famous heroes of war who had fought several battles to see that it survived its enemies. These heroes of war, Erdai, a peacock, and Radji, a monkey, fought several battles in order to defend Ridyani.  They had come out unscathed, proving that they were indeed immortal. The story started with an introduction into the lives of these two heroes and then to the most recent battle they fought. Next, were the events that surrounded Ini, a young monkey and the son of Anasi, the chief Engineer. Ini was in school with his mates on a fateful day only for a general assembly to be announced. There he got to know of an incident that would shape his future. He found himself in a situation whereby the city was in need of his services. It's an unexpected situation as he was only of a tender age. Ini, however, wanted to make his father proud and his actions reflected this resolution. He had a role to play in the survival of the city as Ridyani's mortal enemy Barganush, an elephant, has set his heart to claim the city for himself. Ridyani would need its brave warriors this time.

Opinion:

A lovely novel, Immortal Warriors is a combination of three parts, each part a continuation of the other. The author, Julian Rosado-Machain, did a great job in putting this parts together to form a wonderful piece. It is unique story with animals as characters, yet so relatable. Encapsulated in the novel are several lessons to learn. The characters were well developed, and I found the character Ini, a young monkey, to be intriguing as the novel seemed to revolve around him in a way. The young Ini showed courage, a fighting spirit, and he had honorable behavior. He proved himself again and again that he was worthy of stepping in place of his father and making his parents proud. Despite the few typos found in the novel, I'd rate it a 5 out of 5 stars as it didn't disrupt the flow of the book or cause a substantial dent to this great novel. This story is a must-read for anyone who loves thrilling fictional novels. It contain action, adventure, and surprises. Immortal Warriors is simply worth reading.

I didn't find anything offensive as there were no use of drugs or sexual scenes. However, there are violent scenes which weren't graphic enough.
