The Grimalkin’s  Secret is a fantastic two part book. In the first part, three kids, Kya,Eliza, and Sebastian, go to a  museum to try to find out what has caused the museum cameras to malfunction.  While they are investigating they come across a cat from the Grimalkin painting. The cat’s unusual characteristic helps the characters figure out the mystery. In the second part of the book the magical Symbari try to take over the world. However, the characters go on an adventure to try to save the world. Along the way some of the characters are captured by the Symbari. But they also meet new people that are  trying to fight the Symbari, too. Some of the new charecters names are Emma and Abigal. In conclusion, they all team up to try and fight the Symbari and win all because of the cat.

Opinion:

I loved  The Grimalkin’s Secret. I liked how adventurous the book is. I also liked that the end of the chapters left you in suspense. In addition I liked that the chapter names were in a made up language called Reesk. I did not like that both parts of the story were almost two different stories(although they were both very good stories.) I recommend this book to kids 8-15 years old.
