Ever since Princess Bianca was born, she has been determined to be so frail and delicate that she needs to be diligently protected. Thus, she has never once been outside the castle where she lives, even at 13 years old. Every day, Princess Bianca wakes up and follows the same exact (very boring!) routine, but one thing always managed to cheer her up: reading her favorite fairy-tale books. However, things slowly start to get weird when Bianca starts to hear rumors that something very scary and very dangerous is coming to her village of Pacifico. Bianca discovers that it is a dragon that is trying to come to her village, and her father and some of the royal guards set off to find the dragon and protect Pacifico. After weeks of not hearing back from them, Bianca knows something has gone terribly wrong. If no one is going to do anything to save her father and her village, she knows she has to. But how will a sole princess, who has never even been outside her castle, be able to protect her whole village from a dragon?

Opinion:

I loved this book! The writing style was very smooth, and I enjoyed how the author was able to seamlessly weave in some great vocabulary such as "frolicking" and "safeguarding".  I also enjoyed how the author gave descriptions of the supporting characters through actions such as showing us how the Nanny is strict but caring. We also got to see a lot of Princess Bianca's personality through this such as her being grateful for the comforts she has in life but also knowing there is more she wants to experience. There was the perfect amount of suspense throughout the story, and the pace of the story was consistent throughout. The plot of the story was also very interesting, and I found that I couldn't put the book down once I started reading. The concept of the story itself was  really cool, and I liked how we saw Princess Bianca gain confidence as the story went on.  I highly recommend this book to readers looking for a story full of adventure.
