LitPick Review
When Sadie moves to Plainfield Community High School, she wants to change herself and be interesting . . . even if that means lying. After meeting a girl that has a deathly allergy to peanuts, Sadie knows exactly how she will become different. At her new school, she tells everybody she has an allergy to peanuts and if she eats anything containing peanuts, she could potentially die. This white lie keeps growing and growing and she starts to wonder how much longer she can keep doing it. Will it affect her relationship with not only her new friends but also her new boyfriend? Opinion:
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting and a quick read. The books format is like comic book, so I found it fun to read something out of my comfort zone and enjoyed reading in new ways. I found multiple things in the book unrealistic, but they had to be to keep the story going. I thought more characters could have been involved, instead of just three main characters that they focused on. My favorite thing about reading this book is the illustrations and looking for close details in them. Overall, I thought Peanut was a good, but not great, book.
