LitPick Review
Ivy and Bean are sick of just watching Bean's older sister, Nancy, and hearing all about the wonderful adventures SHE'S had at camp. Ivy and Bean have had enough, and decide to start their own camp, Camp Flaming Arrow. Ivy and Bean do a lot of fun activities with the childeren they host in Camp Flaming Arrow, including hunting a Komodo Dragon!
Opinion:
This book wasn't my favorite, because I think it is more meant for younger kids. I say this only because the problems are very minor and because the main characters (Ivy and Bean) are younger, so younger girls will be able to relate to them more than older girls. I loved all the action and adventure in this book, however, I didn't like it because it is more meant for littler girls because it includes littler girl characters, little and not very eventful problems, etc. The plot was great, but like I said before, this book is probably better for younger girls. I liked how it was written, and it was very eventful, but I think there weren't enough problems, and a lot of stuff went the way that Ivy and Bean wanted it to. The ending made me smile because Ivy and Bean had had a great summer doing this camp, and it ended with the end of camp. I would reccomend this book to girls between the ages of 8 and 10.
