Trouble at Riverside Academy is about a girl named Rachel, who is in her final term at school. She is enjoying every second of it, until she receives a mysterious letter from "Mr. S." Things start to go awry when Rachel makes a bad decision and helps the wrong people. Rachel knows what she should do, but it’s not as easy as one might think. Things get complicated—and quickly! How can Rachel get out of this mess?

Opinion:

Trouble at Riverside Academy is an entertaining book. The story gets into the thick of it right off the bat. Rachel is a great character who is brave and fun, even if a little bossy at times. I like the mystery part of it and how it gets her dad involved. I tried to figure out what might happen, and I was glad it is not so predictable. There is one spot where Rachel swears by misusing Jesus’s name, and I thought it was very unnecessary for her character to do this. Other than this instance, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the author's next work!
