LitPick Review
Mission Alert: Island X is a story about two teens who are investigating one of their classmates. Tom and Zilla act like ordinary kids when they are not secret agents. At the beginning of the story they are playing soccer with a couple friends when their watches buzz. This means that the Secret Service has a new mission for them. Marcus tells Tom and Zilla their next mission. He tells them that there is a place called Starcorp. Next, the teens have to stop a billionaire from doing wrong. When they get to the island, they’re ready to find out what Jake’s dad is doing.
Opinion:
Mission Alert: Island X is an amazing book that was easy to follow. It was easy to follow because the amount of info was the right amount. I liked the development of the characters because it showed how the changed and grew throughout the story. Another thing I liked was how the book had realistic elements.
There were two things I didn’t like about the book. The first thing was in the climax, where I couldn’t understand what was going on when the teens were looking for Jake’s dad. The second thing was in the exposition when the teens were playing soccer.
This book has action, adventure, surprises, and feeling. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend this book to ages 8-14. This book is for kids and teens who like to read books about spies. I hope you have an amazing time reading this book.
