Oliver's mom and dad are explorers.  They notice a set of islands out of their window and head on an exploring adventure.  Oliver follows his parents in his own boat.  While searching for his parents he meets many magical creatures.

In the story there are a set of islands which can move and talk.  There is a competition every seven years.  In this competition you have to collect all sorts of crazy things and put them on your head.  The winner will be in charge of the islands for the next seven years.  Oliver battles against an evil island.

Will Oliver find his parents?  Will he become the ruler of the islands?  You’ll have to read Oliver and the Seawigs to find out.

Opinion:

I laughed out loud a lot during this book.  The characters were silly and ended up in ridiculous situations.  The illustrations were perfect for the story, a bit wacky and crazy.  This book moved very quickly and was a fast read. It did not take me long to finish at all.
