LitPick Review
In The Watcher, you’ll meet a young girl named Wendy. Wendy lives in America in 1942. Wendy is kidnapped by her own mother, who takes her to Berlin, Germany. Wendy is now expected to speak in a language she’s never known before and is expected to support a cause she doesn’t believe in! However, there is someone who has been watching Wendy since her arrival. Someone who helps Wendy gather information about her past. She then learns who she truly is, and the desire to go back to the states arises. Wendy, along with her new German Shepard puppy, will go through an adventure they’ll never forget!
Opinion:
The Watcher is an exciting book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning! The author makes it seem like you’re in the book, experiencing Wendy’s adventures with her. The book is historical fiction, even though the characters seem life-like. The plot is slightly complex; an in-depth story that requires undistracted reading. Therefore it should be rated for 10-14 year olds. I highly recommend you read The Watcher, not only is it jam packed with adventure, it also has mystery and suspense thrown in with it!
