Spy High, Mission One, is a story about six teenagers who are selected for this year's Bond Team at Deveraux Academy, commonly referred to as Spy High by its students. It is not just any normal high school, but a place where gifted teenagers are trained to be secret agents. Deveraux Academy may appear ordinary from the outside, but the football game in progress is only a realistic hologram, and much of the school is located underground.

This book is about a group of people selected to train to be spies on a team at a college nicknamed "Spy High". The group called the Bond Team fail a simulated test due to lack of team cooperation so the Head Master send them on a real mission. The Bond Team must stop an evil doctor named Frankenstein who is turning people into mutants that he can control as his private army. Since they have no chance at beating the stronger, more numerous mutants, the Bond Team must use the talents of the entire group to destroy Dr. Frankenstein's mind control computer.
