Essence of Amethyst follows the life of Essence and Kieran as they navigate the aftermath of the Glimmer lockdown in the Kingdom of Moonstone. This event  is marked by the escape of an evil being, Malachite, the capture of the King and Queen of Moonstone, and the activation of a protective charm which led to memory loss in Essence, Kieran, and their friends. ‎As her memories are gradually regained, Essence begins to understand who she is, the magnitude of the incident, and what needs to be done to rescue the King and Queen.
