Book Review for Belonging

The book that I am reviewing is Belonging by Karen Ann Hopkins. The maturity level of this book is VERY high. The book contains a lot of graphic scenes about sex. If you are in 7th grade or below think about reading this book very thoroughly. I thought it was a very good book.

A boy gets killed and the suspect has gone missing.  But is this a normal victim and a normal killer?  No.  Travis is a were-armadillo and Ruby is a were-cat.  This paranormal mystery is told from three different points of view:  Yoshi, a were-cat and Ruby’s brother; Aimee, a human; and Clyde, a were-possum.  Travis’ ghost only reveals himself to Clyde and tells him the events of his murder.

Sophie is a young teenage girl who thought her life was that of any teenage girl; that was until she found out she was a Greek goddess named Persephone. Sophie's memories of being Persephone came back to her slowly after she kissed a guy named Kai. Kai isn't just a normal guy though, he was the son of the Greek God of the Underworld, Hades. Theo is one of Sophie's best friends and is also a Greek God named Prometheus. Prometheus puts Persephone's goddess qualities into a human form when she almost died; Persephone becomes Sophie.
