In April 1992 a young man from a well-to-do family hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. His name was Christopher Johnson McCandless. He had given $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car, andsetoff for the adventure of his lifetime.

Opinion:

Into The Wild is a survival storythat all others are measured against now.  The story is incredible and you can't put the book down as you move from chapter to chapter.  It certainly made me appreciate the modern comforts of home and how difficult it is trying to survive without them.  This book is a must read for everyone since it is a classic of our time.
