LitPick Review
This is a charming tale about two mischevious brothers, Russell and Floyd, and their adventures. As soon as summer ends, their teacher, Ms. Myrt Arbuckle, passes away. In hopes that they would never go to school again, they never expected that their sister, Tansy, could ever accept the job. The Teacher's Funeral is all about the pranks, journeys, and loves in the school year of 1904.
Opinion:
I really enjoyed this book and loved the author's writing and language. It may be difficult to read for some, both because it has some country phrases and odd language, and because it has some pretty explicit scenes with animals being killed and blood. I absolutely loved the ending and made a great finale to the story and left no loose ends untied.
