On the back of the book its says "Will this be the summer that Candace hoped for?" It is exactlly right in saying it. Candace Thompson goes threw everything and almost anything you could think of. She starts off by looking for a job, which she finds at "the Zone" a local theme park. In the story one girl tells her there are people who work at the park, people who vist the park and people who do both, otherwise known as "Zoners".'Will Candace be a Zoner or is this STILL just a summer job. The story goes on she finds romance, friendship, compition, faith and a change in her values and how she looks at life.

Opinion:

The Summer of Cotton Candy was truly amazing, I started of by liking the name of the book and just that. Yet as the book went on it started becoming an obsession, I just had to finish it! On the back it says "Will this turn out to bee the summer Candace hoped for?" I say yes! and much, much more! The auther's description was pretty good I mean no one likes too too much detail but there could have been a little more. Yet the characters were so well described I felt like I was inn the room with them. Candace, Josh, Becca, Kurt and Tamara were amazing characters! My final veiw is that the author achived what she set out to do write a great book!!
