Evie seems like a normal outcast at Chippewa High School, until her childhood playmate shows up dead in the woods. After lying to the deceased girls father, Evie is plunged into a nightmarish friendship and an undesirable responsibility to find the girls killer. Evies situation turns even worse when Hadley, her new friend, nearly runs a man over at a local diner. Soon the man is stalking Hadley and Evie, and they cant help but accuse him of the murder. Was the killer the mysterious man, or Jonah Luks, Evies crush? Find out in The Space Between the Trees, by Katie Williams.

Opinion:

I was impressed with the writing style used in The Space Between the Trees. Descriptions were very clear and vivid; I could relate to the characters and understand their emotions. Most of all, I loved how Evie would describe something that she imagined she could do, weighed each choice she was about to make, and determined what would happen if she made a different decision. The beginning of the book grabbed my attention and slow moments were very rare. I would recommend this book to those who appreciate different twists.
