Sources of Light tells a story about a teenage girl back when there where different laws about different races and when black ppeople didn't fit in. Sam goes to Jackson, Mississippi to find a better life with her mom.She is not the most popular girl around, but she has two friends, Stone and Ears, to back her up. Just when everything seems like it's going well, Sam's life takes another turn. As Sam moves on with her life she tells her past to many people along with the lessons she learned through photography.

Opinion:

Sources of Light is a good book,a nd it's a New York Best Seller!!!!! I loved the way I felt like I was in the book watching it in 3D. As it was going on right before my eyes I got sad a few times, but just as life...it happens. My favorite part was when Sam watched the picture develop from Perry's camera. I could see them in my mind as they flipped along. It's not a book my 4th grade sister would want to read; I think middle school age and up. I'm sure they'll all love it just like I did!!
