Sources of Light tells a story about a teenage girl back when there where different laws about different races and when black ppeople didn't fit in. Sam goes to Jackson, Mississippi to find a better life with her mom.She is not the most popular girl around, but she has two friends, Stone and Ears, to back her up. Just when everything seems like it's going well, Sam's life takes another turn. As Sam moves on with her life she tells her past to many people along with the lessons she learned through photography.
