Peggy Eddleman is back with another fantastic Sky Jumpers book called the Forbidden Flats. This is the second book in the Sky Jumpers series. Hope, Aaron, and Brock are back to their normal lives in their small little inventing town called White Rock. White Rock is located on the crater of one of the deadly green bombs from WW III. The green bombs left behind a deadly gas that surrounds two thirds of the town. Now, after a terrible earthquake, the bombs breath is lowering and in twenty eight days it will crush and suffocate White Rock residents. The only thing that can stop it is a certain rock that is located in a town in the Rocky Mountains, but to get there they must make the perilous journey across the Forbidden Flats. Now, its up to Hope, Aaron, Brock, and Hope’s Uncle Luke to save White Rock.  Will they make it in time?

Opinion:

Just like the first book, I loved this one! It was so well written.  The action keeps you interested and engaged.  The futuristic setting is so different that it makes me stop and think about how life would be if I lived in White Rock.

I couldn't put it down for a second! I enjoyed that Eddlman wrote  from Hope's point of view, as it makes it easier to read.  I only have to follow one character’s thoughts and feelings.  The world Eddlman has created through the characters and setting keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.. I find it fascinating that people don't have electronic things like cars or refrigerators. I recommend it to readers who like action packed and futuristic books.
