The Sixty-eight Rooms is a magical adventure where sixth graders Ruthie and her friend Jack go on a field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. The Thorne Rooms are almost the main attraction for this Chicago museum. They are a set of sixty-eight miniature rooms, every room an image of real rooms. But is that all it is, or is there more to these tiny rooms? Well, Ruthie wasn't looking for adventure on this field trip, but she is going to unlock those secrets when they come her way. They must find the answers to this mystery, but were they the only ones to find them? With some unexpected help they will come close to the answers. But will they solve them?

Opinion:

This book was okay in my opinion. It was not the most exciting book I ever read, and trust me that's a lot, but it was definitely not among the worst. On a scale of one to ten I would rate this book a seven because it was a little too young for my age of thirteen. It is set for younger kids like nine or ten. Me, I like drama, suspense, mystical creatures, and a tiny bit of romance. This book had some of those but not enough for my taste. It would be good for a newer reader than me for I have read many other books with more of an adventure than this one. I would truly recommend this book for any nine to ten year old kid.
