In the book Samantha Spinner and the Spectacular Specs, Samantha and her brother, Nipper, are trying to save their Uncle Paul. He was helping Buffy, Samantha's older sister, with a movie. When Uncle Paul left, he tried to help Samantha and Nipper find him by leaving them notes. Before they can find Uncle Paul, they will need to defeat the SUN and the RAIN. Will they be able to rescue Uncle Paul and be able to defeat the SUN and the RAIN?

Opinion:

Samantha Spinner and the Spectacular Specs was a good book because of the suspense. Another reason I liked this book was because of the odd ways the characters travel. The way they travel the most is by slidewalks - sidewalks that move. Sometimes Samantha and Nipper travel by rocket ships or a balcony bus. One reason I didn't like this book was because of all of the places the characters traveled. They were in so many places at once that I couldn't remember where they were at what time. Another thing I didn't like was how the author sometimes left the reader in the dark. Sometimes the author didn't finish explaining what he was talking about. I would recommend. I would recommend this book for ages 10 – 12 because of the simple vocabulary and the scary plot.
