Gemma Hart has saved her boyfriend, Harrison, defied her parents, and now accepts the fact that Gabe Hunter is her true father. Things are a little up and down here and there, but so far, things are starting to get back on course. That is, until Gemma discovers that Harrison's mother can travel through time like she can. How can she react to that? And on top of it, her parents have allowed an exchange student from California to stay with them for the rest of the year. Since they're the ones who sabotaged Harrison's existence in the first place, they are oblivious to the fact the Gemma has brought him back, and are trying to set her up with someone they've hand-picked for her. What's going to happen when they find out the truth? And who are Gemma's parents, really?

Opinion:

In the final chapter in the Time Spirit Trilogy, Pearl definitely doesn't hesitate to keep the suspense rolling. It was incredible, as all her writing is. Not to mention, I absolutely DESPISE Gemma's parents! I just thought they were too over-protective at first, but they truly are evil! But the characters themselves were developed incredibly, and the book itself I could not put down. You know that feeling you get when you're reading, when the anticipation is driving you crazy and you are dying to find out how it turns out for the main characters? That's the exact rush I got from reading this book. If I could change one thing, I'd put more emphasis on the character, Courtney. She is hardly in this book compared to the others, and you never get to know her. Other than that, Pure Blood is an engaging read that you'll never be able to put down and by the end you'll be so wrapped up in emotions you could cry'in a good way.
