This story, Please Ignore Vera Dietz written by A.S. King, is about a girl, Vera Dietz whos best friend Charlie Kahn just died. During most of the story we dont know how he died, just that she can clear his name and that his old girlfriend Jenny had something to do with his death. Months before Charlie died, he turned into a total jerk, cutting off his and Vera's friendship. Vera works as a pizza delivery girl. She drinks, but doesnt smoke, and around the middle of the book starts to date a 23 year old (shes 17). Her father trys to protect her, but tends to fail.

Opinion:

I give Please Ignore Vera Dietz an 8/10! It entangles me in the events of the story. I could feel Veras pain and loneliness as if it were my own. The author goes into the minds of many of the characters, helping us readers understand them a little better, and how and why they react to certain events. I recommend this book for ages 13+ because of the amount of foul language.
