This book is about Earth in the distant future. The world has been changed by a massive explosion, and it ran out of petroleum products. A company invented Aki-Energy and is using it to power a massive city called Vanguard. Little do the inventors know that the use of Aki-Energy is poisoning the planet. The people who do know are different than everybody else. They all have a "seed" in them. A seed is a being from another world who inhabits the person's body and gives them powers beyond belief. In this book, the first in the series, a group of people with seeds are trying to bring down the company who made Aki-Energy and end the use of it. Will they succeed?

Opinion:

I thought this book was well written. I think the author achieved his purpose. The writing was powerful, and the vocabulary was appropriate. A strength of this book is that it has excellent description of the battle scenes. A weakness is the spelling mistakes that were found throughout and the overly enthusiastic use of exclamation points in the battle scenes. This book compares to Artemis Fowl in its writing. I thought this book involved all of my senses in one part or another. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes fantasy.
