Do you wish you could be a giraffe or a dinosaur? In the story The Greatest Wish, the curious young boy wishes he could be many things rather than himself. After receiving one thing, he takes his wishes back and wishes to be something else. The young boy soon realizes that whatever he wishes to be is not truly what he wants to be. In the end, he finds the one “extra special, so terrific” thing he already is. Find out his solution in The Greatest Wish.

Opinion:

This ever-changing story is a great lesson for young kids. The young boy in this story realizes that he just needs to be himself and that it is wonderful. With all of the negativity going on in the world, kids need to know that it is okay to be themselves at a young age. As far as reading the book, it was enjoyable because the words were youthful and they rhymed. I would definitely recommend this book to kids 8 and younger.
