Financial Dignity is a guide on how to navigate personal finances. It educates readers on how finances cannot be understood simply through numbers and why saving every penny isn't the key to building wealth. Financial Dignity helps readers identify causes of financial stress and navigate important financial steps like paying off debt and building an emergency fund. In addition, the book gives an introduction to investing options such as index funds and high-yield savings accounts. There are reflection questions throughout the book, helping readers reflect on how the advice in the book can be applied to their own personal finances.

Opinion:

Overall, I learned a lot from reading Financial Dignity. As a young adult, it taught me a lot about the basics of personal finance and things such as budgeting and investing. I also liked how the advice given throughout Financial Dignity was a lot more balanced than other advice I have read. The book acknowledges money as a tool but doesn't suggest that you should sacrifice other aspects of your life in order to build healthy finances. It also helped me understand the emotional aspect of finances and how to prevent financial stress. The book touched on financial topics that are not often covered enough like financial communication and increasing your income in order to build financial security. I think this book could be helpful to adults, but also teens and young adults who are just getting into managing their finances.
