Filtration system is the second book in the Reality Shift series by Jo Ramsey and is about a boy named Jonah and a girl named Shanna. Jonah was one of those kids who wasn't very well liked in school and never expected to meet a friend, so when he meets Shanna, he is very happy; however, Jonah suspects that Shanna is beaten at home and is always concerned for her because he knows he can't do anything without proof. All of that has to take a back seat though when the two kids discover an entity so awful and powerful that if it crosses into our world, it will be dangerous to our very lives and could tear the very fabric of time and space apart

Opinion:

I wasn't a huge fan of Filtration System... I'm not sure if it was because it was book two in a series and I was a little lost, or if it was because I just didn't like the simplistic writing style, but either way, I just couldn't get into the plot or feel anything for the characters. I tried very hard to keep an open mind, as this was the second book in a series and is an advanced/rough draft version of the book, but I just don't think this book was for me. I hope that Jo Ramsey writes more books for me and others to read in the future, as I wouldn't rule him out completely as an author.
