LitPick Review
Jonathon is a 13-year-old boy who lives on a farm. He has always dreamt of being a soldier and he knows he can fight the British. He gets his chance when Hessians are sighted near his hometown. Without his father's permission, he joins other men to fight. He is captured by some soldiers and must find his way home.
Opinion:
I thought this book was pretty good. I think that maybe there could have been more of a story. Some of the events were totally unrealistic, even though it gave me a really good idea of what it would be like to be a young soldier. I would recommend this book to somebody who likes a book about war.
