A coming of age tale for young adults set in the trenches of the Vietnam War in the late 1960s, Fallen Angels is the story of Perry, a Harlem teenager who volunteers for the service when his dream of attending college falls through.

Opinion:

I was not alive during the Viet Nam War, so this book helped me to better understand about it.  The war seemed to be very emotional both for those fighting in Viet Nam, as well as for those at home.  Lives were changed forever because of this war and it still seems to be very controversial and bring up a lot of bad memories.  I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the Viet Nam War an dthe soldiers who fought there.
