This book is about Felix, a boy who has a heart sickness that is going to make him die in a matter of time. As he gets close to the "Divide," he is released into a magical world where mythical creatures are real and human beings are only a legend. Felix develops a relationship with Betony and Ironclaw, who help Felix find a cure for his illness and a way for Felix to return to his home and real world. Felix is able to witness what it's like to be in a world that has mythical creatures that are similar to human beings in certain ways.

Opinion:

I think this book has a good relationship about Felix's world and Betony's world. When you read this book, you feel like you are in a magical world. The author did develop the characters very well. For example, the author developed Felix well because I was able to know the way he was feeling about being close to dying. I liked the ending of the book because it described how Felix was going to survive and how he was made better. This story was fantasy mixed with some adventure. I think the magical characters in the story were described very well because Kay told how they were related to the real creatures in Felix's world. I liked this book because it gave me a sense of the character's feelings and the sense that mythical creatures could be real.
