When Kendal and her dad decide to spend the weekend together in the mountains, she finds out it is said to be cursed. Many odd things happen on the way up to the resort. When they get there, Kendal decides to go to the library to read about Mount Hood. While there, she finds a book called The Atlas of Cursed Places. She reads a story about a woman and her family and how the curse came upon Mount Hood. After a day of training, Kendal, her dad, and their mountain guide go up the mountain.  When they are on the mountain, something happens to her dad and their mountain guide. It is up to Kendal to get help and fix the curse. Will she figure out how to break the curse? Will she save her dad and mountain guide in time? Read Deadman Anchor to find out.

Opinion:

Deadman Anchor is a very well-written book filled with suspense, mystery, and adventure. I read this book in one night because I could not put it down. I was always on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what would happen next. I loved how Kendal did not want to go on the trip but in the end enjoyed spending time with her dad. This is the third book in this series, and this one is written by K.R. Coleman. While reading this book I felt like I was right there with Kendal and the curse.
