Orivon Firefist was captured at the young age of six by the Dark Elves. There he was forced as a slave to blacksmith for a Dark Elf family. He later escaped and was working as a blacksmith in the surface world. New tensions between the under world and the surface world have caused Orivon to become angered and make an attempt to free his fellow captors. What Orivon doesn't know is that the under world has gone into chaos and is even more dangerous in its damaged state.

Opinion:

To me I thought the book was a little confusing and a bit hard to follow. In one chapter you are in Orivons village talking about peace and the next chapter you are in the under world with the Dark Elves. The most confusing part about it was the story did not start from when Orivon was captured. You learn most of what happened to Orivon through flashbacks and thoughts. I thought the book had a very good plot but the jumping around made the characters seem undeveloped. I would recommend this book to a reader who likes a lot of change in the reading and can pick up the smallest details. The reader should aslo be very patient. I found myself rereading the pages just to pick up the smallest detail but it turned out to work for the best.
