Cirque Du Freak, by Darren Shan, is a story about a boy named Darren who steals a tarantula from a vampire in an illegal freak show. It bites his friend Steve, who becomes unconcious. In order to get the antidote to save Steve's life, Darren must make an important decision. What he decides will change his life forever.

Opinion:

I thought that this was a very unique story with interesting characters. The author fills this book with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing as to what will happen next. The ending is a complete surprise. I would recommend this book to readers who like something different.
