Jake Novak and Mary Katherine 'Kate' Forrest share a beach house in White Sands, Alabama, which they inherited together from an extremely wealthy, elderly, deceased relative.Kate's cats, Cleopatra 'aka Cleo' and Jacques the Ripper, are chosen to be in a movie which is being filmed near their beach-side residence. Residents of White Sands are excited about movie stars being in their small town, but when a murder of one of the cast members occurs, quickly followed by a second one, everyone is scared for their own safety. Since Jacques has already helped solve one mystery, will he be able to figure out who is killing movie stars in his second adventure?

Opinion:

The Cat's Pajamas is the second book in the Jacques & Cleo Cat Detectives mystery series. Written by Gilbert Morris, each book has the same main cast of characters with Jacques helping solve the mystery. I don't think there is very much action involved making the book somewhat dull. I think Jake acts like a big jerk to people, and while it's supposed to be a Christian novel, some of the things said and done aren't very Christian-like. This book is really more for adults than teens, but then with its simplicity adults will probably find it boring also. If you are looking for a quick read that won' drain your brain, then The Cat'sPajamas might be for you.
