Ruth has nothing else to do so she join Brichah to help smuggle illegal immigrants to Palestine. This is very dangerous and Ruth risks her life to bring a group of children to Palestine. Along the way, Ruth finds people she never have thought she would see again.

Opinion: 

This book is an very interesting look at WWII refuges and how many Jewish people who were left with nothing, found their way to Palestine to start a new life.
