The story I had read was “Outside” by Shalini Boland. The story was split in two. One about a girl named Riley whose sister was killed. Her and her friend Luc go out in search of the killer, and they live in this apocalyptic type setting where their homes are under lockdown with big fences, guards, army trucks, etc. The second half is about Eleanor, a girl who I assumed is experiencing the apocalypse before it happens, with every town being bombed. Riley, Luc, and Eleanor were the main characters. Eleanor didn't really do anything noteworthy in the book. Riley and Luc find the murderer. Yes, they ran into problems. A book isn’t a book without problems.

Opinion:

I didn't like this book. Why? Because I really don't like much of anything. I'm extremely hard to please, and I see the negative side of everything. But "regular" people would probably like this book.
