LitPick Review
The Subway is an action/adventure novel by Christopher Taylor, based on a young Stacy Martin. Unlike most novels, Stacy, is not at all a normal girl, in a normal high school. The book starts off as an average (or so you will think) day at Stacy’s high school. After Some time, Stacy gets accepted into a facility known as “The Institute” a dream for writers and creative minds, like Stacy. The Institute is such a haven for these kinds of people because it actually turns their ideas, and stories into movies and visual images. Stacy soon begins to notice strange things happening at The Institute, and so the story begins. Stacy is a bit of a paranoid, but genius girl, who enjoys writing in her journal, which contains something extremely important beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.
Opinion:
I think that the subway is definitely not for anyone under 14, unless you are an advanced reader, as it can get extremely confusing at times. My favorite part of the book is when Stacy is in the paradox, and tries to figure out what is happening to her, as you don’t know what is going on either. Overall I would definitely recommend this book, but only to advanced readers.
