Opinion:
I really enjoyed reading this book. The author did a great job of explaining what the Blobs were and relating them to things actual kids worry about such as missing a goal or being made fun of. The character of Dax is very realistic, and I believe would be relatable to young readers. Throughout the book, there are colorful illustrations that depict the "Blobs" that Dax is seeing and how he views them. These illustrations help the reader understand how Dax feels that the Blobs are stopping him from living his life by physically showing the Blobs in Dax's way when he is trying to have fun. In addition, I really liked how the author addressed the topic of kids experiencing anxiety or worry through the Blobs! Through the Blobs, the author was able to show the readers ways to combat anxiety. This is a great book for all kids to read. Overall, I highly recommend this book, and I believe it can help kids express their emotions and overcome fears of their own!
