The ocean is an important part of people's daily lives, more than they often realize. Did you know that 70% of the air we breathe comes from the ocean and that the ocean is a huge part of our economy and medical industry? Humans depend on the ocean to live, but we have not been taking care of the oceans properly. Every year, 8 million metric tons of plastic end up in the ocean. Empty Ocean is a non-fiction book that tells the story of the ocean and the things we can do to keep our precious oceans safe.
